This phenomenal 17- mile long park contains a 600 ft. deep gorge carved by the Genesee River. Spectacular overlooks throughout the park lure nearly one million visitors from all over the world. There are also three magnificent waterfalls at the south end of the park near the famous Glen Iris Inn. Picnic areas, shelters, swimming pools, cabins, and campsites are among the amenities offered. Activities include nature walks, hot air ballooning, white water rafting, horseback riding, hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and tubing. Annual festivals held at Letchworth include Glen Iris 5K Run and Walk, Native American Heritage Days, Blues, Bikes & Barbeque, Stone Tool Craftsman Show, Letchworth Arts & Crafts Show & Sale, "Fire on the Genesee" (Civil War Re-enactment), Learn to Catch a Fish Family Picnic, Summer Farewell Festival, and "Learn About Letchworth" summer lecture series.

Come to Arcade and experience the grand old days of railroading aboard the only steam excursion train in New York State. Regular 90 minute round-trip excursions are featured from May through October. Special train runs include Children's Trains with costumed characters, Civil War re-enactment excursions, Murder Mystery/Dinner Theater, Haunted House runs at Halloween, and Santa runs at Christmas.

The picturesque Gaslight Village of Wyoming on Rt. 19 offers delightful boutique shopping in quaint little shops. More than 70 homes are on the National Historic Register and the village is still lit by the original gaslights.

The Middlebury Academy built in 1817 is the first classical school of higher education west of the Genesee River. Open Memorial Day-Mid-Oct. Sun. 2-5 p.m. or by appt.

The Wyoming Village Hall, built in 1902, is an architectural  showpiece that houses the modest private collection of Prof. Henry Augustus Ward a unique Micro-Mosaic, titled "The Ruins of Paestum," by Constantine Rinaldi. Several notables who lectured at the Hall are: Susan B. Anthony; Madame Perkins; Booker T. Washington; Charles Kellogg; Edward Markham and John Muir. Not open to the public yet available for receptions by appointment.

The stately Hillside Inn and The Wyoming Inn are our local B&B's  that will pamper you and offer dining delights.

AppleUmpkin Festival is celebrated the last full weekend in September. A weekend of fun with more than 300 crafters, continuous live entertainment and food. A true harvest celebration.

"A Dickens Christmas Celebration," always held the Saturday after Thanksgiving at the Village Hall is free to the public.

The Carlton Hill Multiple Use Area and Sulfur Spring Cooperative offers 4,700 acres of pristine park land. Great for hunting, hiking, horseback and biking.

Nature at its best! This beautiful wildlife sanctuary is the official Audubon center of the Buffalo Audubon Society. Head into the Visitor Center where on-site naturalists will answer your questions. Interactive displays will entertain and educate you. Guided walks, weekend and weekly programs are a great way to explore the natural world up close and personal. Cross-country skiing, astronomy observatory, trails are always open. Festivals and events include Maple Harvest, Springtime in the Country, Midsummer's Eve Festival, Homestead Festival, Enchanted Forest for children, and Christmas in the Country. A walkway with handrails for the physically challenged.
